Vela Tianyar Boutique Resort

VELA Tianyar is a hotel in Tianyar Barat. It consists of eleven canvas lodges, in the garden behind the restaurant Saga. Each lodge has air conditioning, a private bathroom with hot water and its own terrace. The six Bayu lodges (35 m²) are open to the breeze. The two Segara lodges (38 m²) have a glass door. Candra (32 m²) is the only round lodge. The two Arta lodges (55 m²) are family lodges on two levels, for four guests.

Saga is both a restaurant and a coffee bar and is also open to people who are not staying there. When the sea allows, the kitchen cooks whatever the fishing boats bring in that morning. The fish goes on the grill and is served with sambal matah, a Balinese sambal. With Catch & Cook, guests join the fishing themselves and Saga prepares the catch. By the water’s edge is a pool with a sundeck. There is no spa, gym, kids’ club or dive centre of its own.
