How we earn money
Booking through a link on this site costs the same; Bali Seaside may receive a commission for it. How that works, and why it changes nothing about what is written here, is set out below.
How it works
If a booking button is a partner link, an identifying code travels with you to the booking site when you click it. If you book there, that site pays us a share of their own fee. You pay the same as you would have going there directly. If you do not book, we earn nothing.
Who we work with
At the moment, with no booking site yet. The buttons are ordinary links and Bali Seaside earns nothing from them yet. If we add a partner, it will be listed here.
Why this does not affect the verdict
A property's seafront category follows from the measurement: from what lies between the grounds and the water. Not from what a booking site pays us, and not from what a property claims about itself. If the verdict is less flattering, that is simply stated — even when it earns us less.
What we do not do
- No paid placement. Nobody can buy a position or a category. There is no advertising space on this site and there will not be.
- No “our lowest price”. We do not claim to find the cheapest, because we do not know that.
- No struck-through amounts and no “save up to X%”. Setting a discount against a price nobody pays is misleading.
- No ordering by commission. If prices are ever shown side by side, the order will be the price or the seafront category — never what a party pays us.
Why we write this down
The law requires us to disclose that we can earn from bookings. But we would do so anyway: you should be able to see that no property can pay for a better verdict on its location. That is why the notice is in the footer of every page and next to every booking button.
Something not right?
If you see a verdict that looks to you as though something other than the measurement played a part, say so. Through the contact page. That is not a politeness: a comparison site unwilling to hear about its own mistakes is worth nothing.
