Not every room or bungalow is by the sea: the grounds run a long way inland. When booking, look for a room type on the ocean side.
Sanur's beach promenade runs between the property and the sand, lined with small shops. The hotel's own beach restaurant and loungers are on the sea side of the path. No road. The same situation as at its sister hotel Griya Santrian.
Puri Santrian is a modern Balinese resort at the quiet southern end of Sanur. It belongs to Santrian Group, a local company owned by a Balinese family that is now in its third generation. The layout is based on a royal Balinese compound, with separate wings for the different room types. The Family Suite measures 80 m² and is divided over two rooms. The Premier Deluxe rooms (50 m²) and the Santrian Club rooms (49 m²) are intended for adults. The Santrian Club wing has its own pool and a jacuzzi.
Beach Club Restaurant is a bistro between two swimming pools, with a terrace overlooking the Indian Ocean. Mezzanine Asian Kitchen & Bar is near the entrance. It serves Asian, Japanese and Chinese dishes on two floors. The Spa offers treatments connected to nature. The resort also has an outdoor tennis court. Guests can use bicycles and kayaks free of charge. There are also yoga classes on the beach and cooking classes in Balinese cuisine.
