Not every room or bungalow is by the sea: the grounds run a long way inland. When booking, look for a room type on the ocean side.
The resort steps down a wooded slope above a rocky shore. In the photo from the water, the vegetation runs right down to dark rock at the waterline. No strip of sand in front. The Toyapakeh snorkelling spot is right in front, though.
Adiwana Warnakali Resort is on Nusa Penida and opened in September 2020. It belongs to Adiwana Hotels & Resorts, a group of boutique resorts on Bali. The rooms are set on different levels and each has a private balcony. The interior has a nautical theme, with oars as decoration and blue tiles in the bathrooms. The Grand Deluxe Ocean View rooms, measuring 56 m², are on the top level. The Ocean View Suites and the four Premier Ocean Suites measure 64 m². The Premier Ocean Suites have a bath on the balcony. About 350 metres from the resort there are also villas with a private pool, of 95 m² (one bedroom) and 182 m² (two bedrooms).
The semi-open Warnakali Restaurant cooks with fresh fish and seafood. The menu features Indonesian dishes, pasta, pizza and burgers. Right next to the restaurant is the pool, with a pool bar. The resort also has a spa, Tejas Spa Warnakali. The dive centre Dune Dive Center is based at the resort. It gives PADI courses, organises dive safaris and has its own three-metre-deep pool.
