Villa Campuhan

Villa Campuhan is in Jasri. According to its own website, campuhan means the place where a river flows into the sea. The complex was originally intended as a private residence for family and friends and was completed in 2005. It was designed by the architect and environmentalist Linda Garland. It is built from recycled ironwood electricity poles, local lava stone and grass. The villas are called Agung, Suwita, Teman, Jasi and Lumbung. Villa Agung (around 230 m²) has ceilings around 7.6 metres high and walls of woven bamboo. Villa Suwita (around 140 m²) is across the river, reached by a bridge.

Guests eat at a round table in the Campuhan Lounge, a shared living and dining house of around 230 m². The cooks prepare Indonesian and Western dishes. Breakfast is served every day. The heated pool is large enough for swimming laps. Villa Agung has its own pool on the sea side, and Villa Suwita its own pool of around 11 metres. Yoga classes, beauty treatments and in-room massages are available on request.
