Tandjung Sari Hotel

Tandjung Sari is a bungalow hotel in Sanur. It began as a place to stay for its owner Wija Wawo-Runtu and his family. That family still runs the hotel. It is built with local materials and Balinese building techniques, and furnished with Balinese antiques. The sixteen Village Bungalows measure 45 m². They are set in a landscaped garden with a balé, a Balinese sitting pavilion. A Beachfront Bungalow measures 55 m² and has two levels. The 135 m² Family Bungalow has two bedrooms.

The restaurant is on the beach. Guests dine in an airy wantilan, an open Balinese pavilion, among Indonesian antiques. The cuisine is Indonesian and international. The menu includes the traditional rijsttafel, with dishes from different regions of Indonesia. The hotel also offers cooking classes in Indonesian home cooking. The Tandjung Sari Foundation, founded in 1987, is dedicated to Balinese art. The foundation sponsors classical Balinese dance lessons for local children. These lessons are held at the hotel.
