Suarga Padang Padang

Suarga Padang Padang is in Pecatu, about 20 kilometres from Ngurah Rai airport. Sustainability came first in its construction. The resort is largely built from reclaimed ironwood from old pontoons in Borneo. Limestone from the excavation of the site was used for the garden walls. Most of the buildings stand on stilts. The main building is a 1,200 m² bamboo structure, with more than a million bamboo roof shingles. On 1.5 hectares there are 36 rooms, pavilions and villas. They range from Muso Pentrooms of 61 to 72 m² to the 750 m² Bajau Villa with four bedrooms. The three Jurang Villas have a private pool and look out over the Indian Ocean. Some of the rooms, pavilions and villas have a cooled bed instead of ordinary air conditioning.

The restaurant cooks with local ingredients and Indonesian flavours. There are also a lounge bar and the Sari Spa.
