Along this coast, from Buitan to Candidasa, a new promenade and a replenished sand beach are being built (a government coastal project funded by JICA). No official completion date has been announced for this stretch; according to Indonesia's state broadcaster RRI, the project as a whole is expected to run until 2028. Until the work here is finished, the beach cannot be reached in many places and there may be construction noise. Once it is finished, we will check this property's position again.

Sagara Candidasa is a small boutique hotel in Candidasa. It is managed by Alpha Hotel Management (AHM). Its sister hotel is Sagara Villas & Suites in Sanur. The hotel has 20 rooms of two types. The interior combines contemporary design with Balinese touches. The Classic Rooms are on an upper floor and have a private balcony. They have wooden furniture and a brick feature wall. The Premier Rooms are on the ground floor and have an open-plan layout. Their bathroom has a freestanding bathtub and a separate shower.
Flamingo Restaurant & Bar is by the pool and opens onto a wooden sundeck. The cuisine is Asian fusion, with local ingredients and fresh fish and seafood. The rooftop terrace has sea views. The pool is 11 metres long and is surrounded by a wooden deck with daybeds, or wide loungers. In two traditional pavilions, guests can rest or have a Balinese massage. The hotel has room service.
