The Ground Zero of Legian Kuta Bali is the focal point of the Bali bombings last October 12, 2002, exactly at 23:05 pm (15:05 UTC). The first bomb was exploded at Paddy's Pub that was taken by using a backpack / duffel / bagpack. Meanwhile, a second bomb even more powerful by using the Mitsubishi L300 car in front of the Sari Club Discotheque Legian (opposite Paddy's Pub). The bomb is known as the Bali Bombings I (Bali Bombing II occurred October 1, 2005 at Jimbaran Beach Resort at 18:50 pm) that killed hundreds of people of foreign nationals and some citizens of Indonesia. In front of the Sari Club Discotheque Legian has established a Bali Bombing Memorial is by displaying the names of the victims.
Kuta Beach is located south of Denpasar, the capital of Bali, Indonesia, precisely in the region of Badung Regency. Kuta Beach is a tourist destinations especially foreign tourists, and has become a mainstay tourist island of Bali since the early 70's. This area is famous for Jalan Legian and Jalan Pantai Kuta which has a shopping area that sells a variety of clothes, accessories, crafts, surf gear, tattooing, and the discotheques, cafes, lounges, Kuta Square and others. Kuta Beach Road of course there is Kuta Beach that The Famous Beach all over the world. This Beach is often referred to as sunset beach (Kuta sunset beach) as opposed to the Sanur beach or we called Sanur sunrise beach.
Kuta Beach area is not far from Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport. If we rent taxi it is approximately 20 minutes. There are so many cheap hotels inn homestead class hotels to five star class at this area.
Legian Street is famous beach with its cafe that sometimes it has changed on midnight as discotheque with live music or Recorded-music played by DJ. There are so much foreigners tourist at Legian. They look for pleasure. No doubt for bomb anymore.
